Already a substantial investment of money, blood, sweat and beers has gone into pre-production to ensure the viable fulfilment of the dream. It has been a challenging journey of evolution taking Exposure from a concept to a revolutionary musical that will fuse state-of-the-art theatre technology with the raw power of a stadium rock concert.
The rights to the book, music and lyrics are held by Camera IP Ltd. and the company has granted full rights to Camera Theatre Productions Ltd for the exploitation of the flagship production of EXPOSURE in London’s West End.
The production has already been successfully developed through a series of workshops, the most recent being at the 3 Mills Studios, London. Here it was presented to great acclaim featuring award-winning West End cast members and top session-musicians.
The purpose was to show work in progress and obtain vital feedback from the selected guests, including theatre, music and media key-players. The response was very exciting, proving keen interest in the show’s future due to its unique universal appeal and freshness.
DVDs have been pressed of excerpts of the show for promotional purposes from previous performances. These gave the opportunity to try out various visual techniques including animations and projections inter-cut with live performance.
We have explored a number of visual realisation techniques and audio options including the latest 3D technology, augmented reality, stereoscopic screens, LED screens, rare archive footage, cutting-edge set design and the latest “live” surround sound.
In tandem with developments for the show a full soundtrack is being mastered for release. Sony and Universal Publishing await its completion. These dynamic recordings were made by the most respected musicians over a number of sessions in London and Stockholm and feature the vocal talents of West End revelation Steve Balsamo, Fred Johansen (Jesus Christ Superstar) Hazel Fernandez (Esmarelda, Notre Dame de Paris) Rohan Reckord (Sammy Davis Jnr. Rat Pack), Charlie George (Oliver), Mike Dyer himself (Narrator, Blood Brothers), and Matt Willis of Busted.
